ROUGE - FORMS

Red Bull FORMS is a bold exploration of what happens when music, movement and film come together. Directed by Alex Fynn, this piece brings together the talents of rapper Rouge and choreographer Rudi Smit in a high-energy visual performance that blurs the lines between music video and dance film.

At its core, FORMS is a celebration of creative collaboration. It shows how artists from different disciplines can combine forces to create something more powerful than any one element on its own. This was the first Red Bull Music video of its kind in South Africa, and it set a strong precedent for the impact of cross-genre storytelling.

It was also a pleasure shooting with the talented DOP Zenn van Zyl, whose eye for detail and energy behind the lens helped bring the visuals to life in a bold and dynamic way.

FORMS went on to win South African Music Video of the Year in 2019, a reflection of the project’s creative ambition and the strength of the team behind it.
